Age Performance

Paul earned his master’s degree in gerontology from the Fischer Institute for Wellness at Ball State University. He interned at the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University under the direction of Dr. Maria Fiatrone and Dr. Miriam Nelson, where he studied the social and psychological aspects of aging in relation to health.

He went on to earn his certification as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, along with certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute, Original Strength, and in the Functional Movement Screen.

In 2005, Paul founded Age Performance, where he continues to develop comprehensive training programs to improve the physical function and human performance of adults over 40, specializing in speed and power development as we age. In his 30-year-and-counting career, Paul has clocked over 70,000 personal training hours.

When not helping clients achieve their fitness goals, Paul sits on the advisory board of the Huntsman World Senior Games and the Functional Aging Institute and consults internationally.  He also competes in Senior Games, medaling in the 50-meter, 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter events and is a 30 year Zen practitioner.
