Ralf Iwan has been shaping the HYROX Academy since its very foundation, building it from the ground up over the past three years into a world-class coaching education platform. His coaching career began in Track and Field after graduating in Sports Science from the German Sport University Cologne. He went on to coach elite athletes in the Decathlon and Pole Vault, guiding several to the Olympic Games, World Championships and Commonwealth Games. . His expertise took him across the globe – to UK Athletics as Regional Performance Director, to the renowned Aspire Academy in Qatar, and to Singapore, where he served as Head Coach of the national Track and Field Academy. He later brought his leadership to German sport as Sports Director of the German Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Federation.
In recent years, Ralf has combined consultancy work with academic engagement, collaborating with universities and higher education institutions across Europe. Today, he channels that wealth of experience into the HYROX Academy – building the next generation of coaches worldwide.
