This session will include the benefits of exercise for people in addiction recovery, appropriate program design, and how to incorporate exercise as a tool (not a replacement) to sustain abstinence from substances.
Other topics will be the warning signs (physically & cognitively) someone has relapsed and is working out under one's supervision, scope of practice, and contraindications to be aware of while working with someone in recovery.
